Not sure what to say?

Ah yes, fond memories of monthly LaPorte-Hardy dinners from when all of us kids were just that. Esther and Bob were always second parents to me as we shared experiences in family, school, church and scouting - - - begining nineteen fifty somethingerother. It has been a few years since I saw Esther, but I (of course) had a meal, and the opportunity to socialize with Peggy and Terry(and family). It is time to re-connect with all four of Esther's great kids. I haven't seen Mike or Jim yet this...

Our sincerest condolences to Esther's family. Though it has been decades since we've lived across from her, she has always been a part of the special memories of growing up in Boxer Ct.

Esther was a lovely person, welcoming to all, and especially to her children and their spouses and grandchildren and all their relatives. She enjoyed family gatherings, and was frequently the hostess for these get-togethers. I will miss her very much, as will all who knew her. She will be long remembered as a completely empathetic person who was kind, generous, and loving. Esther helped many folks quietly, and with no interest in being rewarded for her good deeds. She will be greatly missed...

I will miss Esther. She was always so warm and gracious at all of the many holiday celebrations I shared with the LaPorte family. I enjoyed her wry humor and quick wit. She was always very fun to talk with and kept up on current affairs. She kept young and seemed to enjoy herself with her extended family. My Best wishes to her family.

Aunt Esther was always so very warm and wonderful to visit with. She and Aunt Ruth were always an important part of our family, and made special trips to visit and be supportive to all. Some of the special memories are from pictures we have of when Aunt Esther and Uncle Bob and the cousins would come to western Kansas to visit. My first plane ride was to California for a family gathering there. It doesn't seem like so many years have passed. We will all miss her very much. Our loving...

We lived so far away but each time we went to Calif or Ruth and Esther came to Ks for reunions, it was like we lived next door. We enjoyed the cousins and a favorite time was when we took Peggy and went to the Muir Woods and then had ice cream in Sosalito. Esther Mary was always so gracious and soft spoken. Nursing and mothering were absolutely her thing. She will be missed. Paul and Vicki Hantla/Edmond, Oklahoma
