Esther “Dolly” Rega, 95, a resident of Newhaven Court, Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born April 30, 1930, in Jeannette, the daughter of the late Charles and Goldie (Williams) Caesar. Prior to her retirement Dolly was an Executive Secretary for the former Westmoreland Glass Co., in Grapeville, and also worked with the Bridal Registry in the former Kaufmann’s Department Store in Greensburg. She was a member of the Ascension Church Jeannette. Dolly enjoyed going to the casino’s, playing cards, pinochle and poker, and loved traveling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Dolly was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Dominick R. Rega in 2024.
She is survived by her son Robert K. Rega, and wife Susan of Greensburg; a grandson Robert Dominick Rega of Boston MA.; a sister-in-law Vermillia “LaLa” Dopkosky, and husband Robert of Latrobe; brothers-in-law Pat Rega and wife Drena, and Anthony D. DeNunzio, Sr., all of Jeannette; a cousin Jospeh Caesar of Jeannette; and 5 nieces and 6 nephews.
Dolly’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Newhaven Court nurses and staff for all of their kind and compassionate care.
Friends will be received 4 to 8pm Monday in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 228 North 2nd Street Jeannette. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am Tuesday in the Ascension Church with Fr. Michael Crookston as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont PA.
