Not sure what to say?

My parents had such fond memories of Phil and Joyce. They enjoyed Joyce´s wit and the way she looked at life challenged them. She was incredibly gifted and had such a wonderful sense of humor and most importantly loved Jesus! How fortunate you all are to have had a mom who was Rock solid in her faith and trusted fully in Jesus. We know you´ll miss her, and that you have many wonderful memories. Thinking of you and praying for your family.

Tonya (and family)... didn't know your mom well but remember her, and your, dedication to those she loved. I know you will miss her and wish you God's love and peace as you continue your life journey without her. Debbie Vance

Dear Ver Sluis family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your dear Mom Grandmother, Great Grandmother. She will be remembered with much love by me and I´m sure many others. Joyce will be greatly missed I am sure but, she is now reunited with her husband Phil. My husband, Leonard, worked with Phil, at Juvenile Court but I always enjoyed time spent with Joyce at Court picnics, Christmas parties, "Strawberry Open", hosted by Phil & Joyce and any other time our paths crossed. She always brightened my day. My sympathy to all of your family.

Joyce was a remarkable person! She was completely at ease with who she was and a total free spirit. She was kind, original, generous, and never ordinary. She totally accepted having "God is in control". I will miss her terribly.

A familiar household name to me all my life and church "Mom," and friend, Joyce will always be remembered with JOY. May we all-her blessed family and friends -celebrate with wonderful memories. Looking forward to our heavenly reunion one day! Christ is risen!
