Esther was a force to be reckoned with at EMU! She helped me and *many* others in clerical Union matters. I tried to fill her shoes when she retired from the Graduate School. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing and send my deepest sympathies to her family. RIP, Esther.

Esther was an important leader in our Local, UAW Local 1975 at E.M.U., as well as a mentor to me personally. She held many offices, including Vice President and Bargaining chair, and she worked many many hours outside of her regular work schedule to represent members, negotiate our contracts, write articles for the newsletter, plan events, and serve on union committees, University committees and joint committees.
