Esthermae Rooke

Eugene...So sorry to hear about your Mom. What a great lady she was! Ironically, my husband´s Mom, Arlene Baker, was at Wesleyan Independent Living until the first of August. She is now in Wesleyan Memory Care. My friend, Sandy Bucher, sent me the link about your Mom. She apparently went to school with Paul. Small world! Again our condolences to you and your family. Esthermae and David Rooke were two kind, fun, intelligent and unforgettable individuals from a Sunday school class of many years ago. One day David cut me short as I offered my 'opinion' and taught me the I could learn more by listening than talking. Esthermae was tough as her husband and cheerful, giving, and sparkling. She brought life to our class and the best out of people.

We lived in the Garden Subdivision, not far from the Rookes, in Midland Michigan. Wayne worked very closely with David Rooke. He was a great supporter of Wayne at Dow Chemical. Our three younger children looked forward to Halloween and going to the Rooke´s door to trick and treat. We especially remember one year. Esthermae was dressed like a witch.
