Hi Ethaan this is your mom sending you a message. I hope you are talking shop with your grandpa. I miss you so much and am trying to adjust. It is too hard. You have a new niece born two weeks ago. She look like you as a baby. Tomorrow is my birthday, I was hoping to get one of your goofy cards with a loving hug. Anne came today to see the baby and we talked about how we miss you so much. Sending my love and today I took a picture of the baby and it resembled you in a ghostly way and...

I knew Ethaan from Golden West Elementary and Manteca High. I was thrilled when I found out he was going to Cal and even more thrilled when my husband and I got to watch him perform in the Cal band.
I hope that his family can take comfort in so many outpourings of feelings about Ethaan.

Ethaan was everyone in the neighborhood's little brother. We all watched out for him and we all loved him. Whether he was swimming in someone's pool or having a three day war we watched out for him because he was so sweet and so adorable we couldn't help ourselves. He grew up and he continued to touch everyone around him and he lived life to the fullest. He will be so incredibly missed by his loved ones. Sitting at his service today I was inspired by the life he lead. I haven't...

I was in the Cal Band with Ethaan and whenever I think of him I see him in his SHB uniform (Straw Hat Band) with his big smile and twinkle in his eye. We all left Cal and went our separate ways, but we are all still connected. My heart goes out to his wife and family. Please know you have a whole big Cal family thinking of you.

When I first met Ethaan we laughed for hours about the most rediculous things. It was then that I realized that I met someone with the quirkiest, unusual humor as my own. I remember saying to Annie, "your husband is crazy and you are so serious, a perfect fit you are." Cheryl and I love you both and have enjoyed every moment spent with you both!

I was in the Cal Band with Ethaan and will always remember his great sense of humor. He truly was one-of-a-kind. My thoughts and prayers are with the Boyer family.

Well, I tried to write from my grief, but all I hear is that wicked laugh of his compelling me to keep using each moment:
To design and create
To give full attention and energy to others
To be Zany (our favorite word)
So I won't waste words on sorrow . . .
I am so grateful for your life and the bits we got to share. I am completely proud of what you made with your time, womb buddy.
My absolute best Love goes out to Annie, your family, and everyone feeling this...
