Ethan will be deeply missed by his parents, Bob and Renee; his brothers, Aiden and Vance; our dog, Coco; and his lifelong best friend, Alex. He was loved by his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ethan was inquisitive and passionate about many facets of nature and art. His many interests included bonsai, trees and gardening, drawing and design, typography and vintage signage, meteorites, stars and astronomy, tea and tea ceremonies, vintage cast iron pans, hiking outdoors, and more.
He was an entrepreneur at heart. In grade school, he started his first business, a bug-catching company, followed by a landscaping and yard clean-up business and a t-shirt design brand.
Ethan loved his dog Coco and took her on many long walks and outdoor adventures. He wrestled in high school and with the Little Huskies wrestling club, and also played rugby.
He was very proud to have interned at the world-renowned Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford and enjoyed spending time with his garden and bonsai plants.
We will love and remember you forever, Ethan.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. This will be used to create and install a memorial plaque or bench in one of the parks Ethan loved to visit and spend time.

My heart aches to think we will never be able to see Ethan again - laughing, creating, and loving the cats. He was a sweet, sensitive soul and a steadfast friend. We will miss him.
