Ethel and I kept in touch at least once a year around Christmas time. In December 2003, I sent my traditional card and note but did not get one from her until last month. I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to all of you who have responded with words of encouragement and condolence to our family during this season. It fills our hearts all the more to know how much Ethel was loved by others as well as ourselves. May God bless each and every one of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. There are no words to express the pain of loosing Ethel. She was a pillar and inspiration to all of us. Her legacy will live on.

Ms. Brunson was an inspiration to many people young and old. We were all encouraged in seeing her continue to press forward with her work in education (in spite of). She has now moved on to a higher calling and we shall cherish her memorie and strive to do the best we can, while we can and be in God's will.
