I just read this obit on Ethel Chew, and this is June 2017. My gosh, we did not know! I met Ethel 50 years ago through my mother who was also a member of the Santa Clara Chinese American Women's Society. My mother didn't drive, so Ethel use to come over periodically to taxi my mom to the meetings and functions. My mother and Ethel are the exact same age. My mother and all my siblings adore Ethel Chew. We were so impressed that Ethel knew how to speak...

Dear Chew Family,

Auntie Ethel has truly left an indelible love, dedication to family and gracious that welcomed all. Conversations with her while growing always left a giggle or smile with me. May the legacy of her sweet spirit continue in all the hearts she touched. It is certainly evident in lives of her children and grandchildren.
