Our beautiful momma, Ethel Doyle, age 90, of Kentwood, walked into the arms of her Savior and Lord Jesus in the early morning hours of January 5, 2023. She was a selfless mother who was spunky, spirited, stubborn and sweet. She was faithfully devoted to her family, friends, church families,...

Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear of Ethel's passing. I first met her at our neighborhood association meetings. We were both into gardening. During the 2008-2009 recession, she and I would go to food pantries and church sales. Was always impressed with her upbeat nature and her intention to keep on moving. Loved to see her out and about with her walker.

Ethel was such a kind, generous, spunky soul who cared deeply for everyone who crossed her path. To say that this woman was a Prayer Warrior would be grievous understatement - she battled in prayer like no one else I've ever met. I have no doubt she's talking the ears off Jesus himself this very moment - and he's loving it! Ethel would call me every week (except for a block of time in the winter when she always fell silent when visiting Florida - which is how I missed this for so long)...

Ethel was a faithful prayer partner for many years for our ministry Child Evangelism Fellowship of Grand Valley. We are grateful for your family's decision to contribute memorial contributions to our ministry.

So many memories this morning of you Aunt Ethel. But the ones that especially stand out where of you arriving at the cottage with jello in the back window having melted in the sun on the way. The other was you always gathering all of us kids and taking us to the channel for a fun day of swimming and jumping from the dam top. You will be missed. Forever young!

Well Ethel has been my neighbor for little over 3 years she was always out walking she was a spunky little lady

There are so many of my childhood memories that include her and Merrisa. The innumerable times she took us to the local pools for open swim. She truly was a kind soul who loved to serve. I am truly sorry for your loss, but I pray you are comforted by the knowledge that she is in a better place. God be with you all during this time.

May fond memories of your mother bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. I will always have fond and good memories of Ethel that will always be there when I think of her. So very very sorry for your loss but rejoice she is with Jesus. Love and hugs to you all!

So sad to hear of Ethel's passing. I will always remember her for walking to the bank and crossing Division at around 3pm. Such a wonderful lady! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Cal & Drayson - I was so sorry to learn of your mother's home going. She was definitely a beautiful spark of love and light in the world. I send my deepest condolences.
