Dr. Hall, I remain grateful for the opportunity you provided to me at Neighborhood Youth Corps.

Donna, I can never forget Dr. Hall and the instrumenta role she played in shaping my career. I will always remember and thank her. May God bless and keep you, Donna.

Mrs. Hall, you are truly missed. I thank you so much for hiring me for my first real job after I returned to Alabama. I had just been discharged from the US Army and three years from graduating from Clark College. Mrs. Hall was initially reluctant to hire me because I appeared to be cocky. She afforded me the opportunity for my first administrative experience as director of the NYC summer program. Then I was honored to be hired to replace Mrs. Hall as the Director of Neighborhood Youth Corps....

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Hall's passing. I personally met her at the Alabama Community College System's Annual Conference held in Montgomery, Alabama. She and another woman whom I assumed was her daughter greeted me at her book signing table. She gave me her card and we passed a few words. I expressed to her that I was honored to meet her and how proud I was of her accomplishments in life as a woman first and as a Black Woman especially.

God has chosen another beautiful flower for his garden. Let the days of smiles (sunshine) & the tears (rain) contine to nourish it.

"Dr. Hall was my professor and mentor while I attended the graduate school of social work at the University of Alabama. I have always admired her as a professional and a woman of integrity. So many lives have been touched by Dr. Hall's service to Birmingham, Alabama and throughout the United States. I was saddened to hear of her homegoing and so thankful that our paths crossed in so many ways.

My condolences to the Hall family, remember, 'Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not...

Dr. Hall was my homeroom and English teacher at Westfield High in the late 1950's. She was one of my favorite teachers, and she was a major influence in my life. She always reminded us to try to do our best in all of our endeavors. I thank God that I was able to spend some time with her, on my visit to Birmingham in May of this year. She was one of the great persons of this world! I send my condolences to her family and friends. Thank you Mrs. Hall.. May you rest in peace. :)

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Hall. She was a beacon set on a hill that we all could follow. I truly pray for peace and comfort for this family at this time and in the days to come. God bless and keep you all.
