Ethel Mae Graves McLaughlin was born to the late Percy W and Susie McReynolds Graves in Bay Minette, AL. Her religious training commenced at Trinity Chapel A.M.E. Church until she relocated. She was the first of 15 siblings preceded in death, mother & father, six brothers, Clifford Graves, Raymond Graves, George Graves, Betram Graves, Ralph L. Graves, Freddie Graves, five sisters, Mary C. McCall, Syble M. Brantley, Sarah Bolling, Dorothy Gibson, Annie L Sheppard. Cherishing the beautiful memories are: one brother, Percy Graves, Mosspoint, MS. two sisters, Betty Montgomery, Bay Minette, AL, Clariece Graves,Pascagoula, MS; one aunt, Mrs. Deloris McReynolds, Bay Minette, AL. , four devoted nieces: Kathy L. Montgomery, AL.,Alice (James) Crook, Bay Minette, AL., Jennifer A. Johnson, Gauties, MS. and one very devoted niece, Dollie (Tom) Mims, Bay Minnette, AL.; Two devoted nephews, Cleophus McCall Gautier, MS., Tyrone Montgomery, Bay Minette, AL., one sister-in-law, Ernestine Graves, Anniston, AL. . A long time family friend, Mr. Walter Dixon, and a devoted friend, JoAnn Nelson Mobile, AL, A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a fashionable dresser loved her hats and loved to travel, most of all loved her church.
