Ethel L. Simms VIRGINIA BEACH - On Monday, Dec. 2, 2010, Mrs. Ethel L. Simms passed away. She was 103 years old. Born Dec. 20, 1906, in Rocky Mount, N.C., she was a strong woman and her family was important to her. She is predeceased by her husband, Clyde Simms. She is survived by grandsons, Rodney K. Gramberry and Joel L. Gramberry, and other grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews out of state. She will always be loved. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
