Dr. Stone took care of me from 3 days to 10 days of age. Because of him, I am here and healthy. I wish that I could have met you when I could remember. Thank you for my life.

Ethon (better known to us as "Rock") was our sailing buddy on the Rub-a-Dub back in the early 1970's. He had such a great sense of humor and contributed many good times and treasured memories for us. Our deepest sympathies to the family in your great loss, which we share.

My prayers are with your family at this time. Dr. Stone was our doctor(friend) too, since 1948 and for my sister, Teresa. Never was a call to him unimportant. And the 'faces' were so engaging.

Dr. Stone was a wonderful man. He was humerous, caring, sensitive and strong. As a doctor, especially one working with children, he was everything we look for and usually cannot find. He was my Dr from '72 to when I turned 18 (now 36), then my children's Dr from '90 to '98 when he retired. We felt the loss when he left his practice, but our hearts mourn much stronger now. Being with him from the time I was born, then watching him with my children, I feel as though he is not just "our"...

Dr. Stone took such good care of me as well as my children. I remember being pregnant with my second child while my son was in the hospital with the flu. He was so upset that I was staying up there that he told the nurses to keep an eye on me. To this day, I follow all of the wonderful advice he gave me over the years. I was especially blessed to have him and Jean in a couple of my college classes. He was still learning, even in his retirement. We have lost a truly wonderful soul and my...

Dr. Stone took care of my first baby girl, Pamela back in 1972, until we moved away in 1978. He was so great with kids. He told me when I first met him that the kids always called him "eatin stones" when he was young. We always loved his sense of humor and genuine care and concern. Hated to lose him as a doc. He was truly one of a kind.

He was one of the few Dr's in the US to screen newborns for hypothroidism for years. My son was one of the first documented cases EVER where it was 'caught' early enough to stop such devastating effects. SO MISSED and SO SPECIAL was he. UofM and Mayo Dr's applauded him - so do we. My son is 25, in college and a chemistry major w/thanks to Doc Stone. We all loved him. Peace to you all and thanks for sharing such a great man.
