Etta Bell Daniel, 83, of Blanchard, died Monday, January 10, 2022, in Blanchard. The daughter of Robert Lynn “Bob” Hahn and Weoma Norma (Nowlin) Hahn, Etta was born December 25, 1938, in Cogar, Oklahoma.
Etta and Don were married in 1957. Etta earned her GED in Anchorage, Alaska. She worked as a secretary at an optometrist office and as a sales associate at retails stores including TG&Y and Walmart. She enjoyed helping people in the fabric and craft department. She also worked with the Election Board in Blanchard. Etta was saved at a young age, and she and Don were long time members of the First Baptist Church of Cole. They joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in 2004, where they have faithfully served until her passing. She loved doing crafts, collecting rocks and seashells, and feeding her birds in her front yard. Etta loved traveling all over the United States and Europe, especially with the S*M*A*R*T club. (Special Military Active Recreational Travelers) Etta was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the VFW Auxiliary. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Hahn.
Etta is survived by her husband, Don Daniel of Blanchard; two daughters, Mary Lou Welch of Blanchard and Donna Fowler and her husband, Ryan, of Blanchard; two sons, Jerry C. Daniel and his wife, Wendy, of Cedar Lake and Terry L. Daniel and his wife, Marlene, of Blanchard; eight grandchildren, Michael Welch, Brandie Nero, Jerry Don Daniel, Jennifer Putman, Michelle Higgins, Bonnie Iness, Jessica Brauning, Christopher Daniel, and Bryan Daniel; thirty three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren with three on the way; one brother, William Hahn and his wife, Ann, of Tecumseh; and several other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Blanchard, Oklahoma. Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. I went to church with Etta. She had such a sweet spirit about her. We worked a lot in the kitchen together. She was very dedicated and happy to tackle anything that needed to be accomplished. Our
Normal way of greeting each other was
With a hug and a smile. I will miss Etta.
