My thoughts, and thanks to both, Mr. and Mrs. Dickmann for the life lessons they taught my brothers and me, at a young age. I must say that we learned work ethics, and all of us applied them throughout our working life. We are retired now, but I do have to share the thing I remember most about working in the strawberry patch. Rodney was the one you could count on to start the "strawberry fights". We worked hard, and learned how to play hard as well. I have lived in Arizona for 37 years...

Both Mrs & Mr Dickmann were very positive role models and kind & caring stewards for all of the young people who were fortunate to work with them at the "Truck Garden". My 2 brothers and I worked with them for 4 summers in the 1950's and the lessons we learned there have served us well thru out our lives. I remember the treats Mrs Dickman would fix for us for our "rest times" but most especially the Strawberries, shortcake & Icecream on a hot summer day. My condolences to the Dickman family,...

I remember Mrs. Dickmann from attending St. Paul Lutheran Church, St Paul Lutheran School and their business. My parents were good friends of the Dickmanns.
Etta was a wonderful person and someone I looked up to as a Christian role model, she will be missed.
I believe she is walking hand in hand with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Etta was truly a child of God. His love for her radiated through her and blessed all of us. Her name could have been used for the woman in Proverbs 31:10-31. Love and sympathy to her family

Our deepest sympathy goes out to you in the loss of your Mom.
The dinner/card club that met through the many years was very special to my folks. I have such great memories of the bridal and baby showers that the women gave us, and the many floral pieces your mom made for special occasions and church. Etta leaves a wonderful legacy to us all.

Dear Great-Aunt Etta,
Everytime I see or work with peonies- I think of you. Even as a child- the highlite of a visit was to go in your gardens. You took the time to talk to me about the flowers.! You are an inspiration and your talents go on thru me in my flower shop.
You will be missed deeply more than you know.
God bless and rest peacefully in a forever garden..

I remember Mrs. Dickmann from attending St. Paul's. Her grandson, Mike, and I went to Sunday school there together when we were in K, 1 & 2 grade. I also attended St. Paul's school for 7-8 grades and remember her wonderful meals and her her being a nice person to talk to, when I helped during clean up after the lunch period. The photo of her that is displayed in the paper is how I remember her--kind and cheerful! Many Blessings to her family for God's comfort at this time.
