Mrs. Etta Faye Hafford, 56 of Kountze, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2024 in Kountze, Texas.
The Celebration Services for Mrs. Hafford will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Faith Temple Church of God In Christ (2800 HWY 327 - Silsbee, Texas 77656) with burial Service to follow at Kirby Cemetery in Silsbee, Texas under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. For your safety, social distancing and facial masks recommended.
Etta's Life Journey
Etta Faye Walker Hafford was born to Izora Faye Walker and Ernest Howard on March 14, 1968, in Galveston, Texas. She attended Silsbee High School and graduated with the class of 1986. For the majority of Etta’s adult life, she worked as a correctional officer at the Mark Stiles unit in Beaumont Texas. where she later retired after twenty-three years. On May 29, 2022, Etta dedicated her life to Christ where she became a faithful member of The Word Church under Pastor Nathaniel Scott, III.
She proceeds in death by her husband, Sonyna Hafford, Jr.; her grandparents, Alberta Mishaw Walker, John L. Walker, Nina Spikes Howard, and Thomas Valentine Howard; nephew and (God Child) Anthony Devontay Cannon.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her mother, Izora Faye Walker and father Ernest Howard (Sonya) all of Silsbee Texas; her sons, Sonyna Hafford, III (Terrunia) of Beaumont Texas, Ernest Lee Hafford, Sr. (Meagan) of Kountze, Texas and Marcos Howard, Sr. of Silsbee Texas; daughter, Laqaunita Harris of Silsbee Texas; grandchildren, Ty’zavion Hafford , Keyshanti Hafford of Silsbee Texas, Ernest Lee Hafford, Jr. “L.J.”, Emmberly Reagan Hafford of Kountze Texas, Marcos Howard, Jr. “M.J.”, Mar’cnae Howard, Emmanuel Howard of Silsbee, Texas, Robert, Na’Liyah, Angel, Kristana all of Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Nadine Walker of Beaumont, Texas, Marilyn Harris and Patrica Williams Moore (Brad) of Silsbee, Texas, Selena Walker of Houston, Texas; brothers, Nathon Walker of Silsbee, Texas, Adanina Morrisey “PooPoo” of Jasper, Texas, Jacobe Morrisey “Turkey” of Silsbee,Texas, Theadore Williams of Houston, Texas and Brandon Bowling of Silsbee,Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and Friends
