Etta Mae Hudson

Etta Mae passed away peacefully at the Big Sky Hospice Home in Billings on July 8, 2007.
Etta M. Hudson was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Sloan, Iowa, to Tom and Cecil Stone. She graduated from Alliance, Neb., High School, and later married Arthur Hudson in Gulfport, Miss., on Dec. 13, 1944. This union of marriage produced three children.
Etta and Arthur didn't travel much, but in the summers, you could find them at their favorite camping spot on the East Rosebud River at Roscoe.
Etta was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; and her favorite son-in-law, Larry Kukowski.
She enjoyed cooking and sewing and was involved in various clubs in the community. She also enjoyed working in her garden and feeding the birds in her back yard. Etta truly was Grandma Etta or Grandma Hudson to all her wonderful grandchildren. Etta was a stay-at-home mom, but took in ironing to help with the family income.
Etta is survived by her sister, Doris Kuntzman (Wally) in Albuquerque, N.M.; her three children, Betty Kukowski of Billings, Jerry Hudson of Billings and John (Debbie) Hudson of Laurel; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Etta will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Big Sky Hospice Home in Billings.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Smith Funeral Chapel in Billings. The service will be held at the Tree of Life Wesleyan Church in Billings at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 12. Viewing will be Wednesday, July 11, 1 to 9 p.m., at Smith's West Chapel, 304 34th St. West, and prior to services at the church on Thursday.
