Not sure what to say?

On behalf of my mother Mary Jane, father Harold, brother Rand, and nephew Tiger, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Sharon Foster and all the loving, caring people at First Christian and at Risen Son for their devotion and commitment to my aunt Etta Mae throughout her long life. She was a dear sister, a thoughtful sister-in-law, and a doting aunt. We loved her, and we shall miss her. Our lives are dimmer now that she is gone. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It is...

My husband Joel and I loved Etta Mae. We were privileged to travel with her on a trip to Europe, which was great fun! But what I remember the most was her elegant graciousness. She was a lovely, eloquent woman who loved to teach lessons from God's word. I still have a beautiful, encouraging letter she wrote to me when our boys were little. It's tucked in my Bible. I will miss her. She was very dear to me. Penni and Joel Burkum

Dear Sharon,

"Our first pastorate began in 1960 at the Broadway Christian Church in Council Bluffs. Etta Mae and her mother, Mrs. Larison, became great friends. We remember her laughter, faith, love of nature, and the color blue. She spent many holidays, especially Christmas, in our home. Heaven's joy will be to greet her on streets of gold, where Etta Mae will add a beautiful attraction to eternity. In Christ, Benny and Elaine Boling, and family." Seymour, MO

I often worked with Etta Mae at church and always enjoyed her warm and caring personality. She was a kind and loving person. She will be missed.

To All of Etta Mae's Friends at First Christian Church, FCC and Risen Sun in Council Bluffs,

I and my Mother, Vida, would just like to say thank you for your service, dedication and devotion to my Aunt. I know she cherished and loved you all. She always spoke lovingly of the people and institutes that were a part of her life.

I would also like to take this opportunity to recognize Sharon Foster for her dedication to my Aunt. Sharon is a true friend in every sense of the...

Was sorry to read about the passing of Etta Mae. I didn't know her that well, but she was a dedicated member of First Christian Church. FCC and Risen Sun won't be the same without her.
