Not sure what to say?

Nicky, I didn't think I was going to make it to Ettaleah''s funeral because 9:30 that morning was one of our holy days of obligation, All Souls Day mass. But I decided to go even if I was late. I am so glad I did. I got to hear your son celebrate his mom's life, capturing her essense. Wow, what a gal!

We were patients of Dr. Bluestein and it's with great sadness that we just learned of her passing. We always appreciated not only her professionalism, but also her personal warmth and her artistic talent, we admired her paintings that were hung in the office on Henry Tecklenburg Drive. We know that she touched many peoples' lives as she did ours. We send our condolences to her family and friends. John Haskell and Jon Shipp

I am so sad to hear this. Etta Leah was a classmate of my husband, Al Jordan, at MUSC. She was my eye doctor until we moved from Charleston . She was such a nice person and I always admired her. Prayers and comfort to her family .

Dear Nicky, I am so sorry for your loss. EttaLeah was a dear friend to us. We will cherish our dinners and visits with you both. Our love to you and your family. What a positive role model EttaLeah was to Katie and to our daughter, Olivia.

Nicky and family, I am so sorry for the Bluestein family. While I didn't know EttaLeah personally, I know through Nicky and Scott that she was a terrific person. God Bless all of you, Thad and Colleen Vincent

My condolences to Gabe and this family:

One of my friends years ago who are relatives to the McAlister family lives on Sullivan Island had a lunheon at her home and I was able to be in Dr.Bluestein company, she was so fill of life and down to earth, she treated us like she a had know us forever. I would always run into her at times as I worked at MUSC, she always had something pleasant to say.

I am very sorry to read of Dr. Bluestein's passing , I was a patient several years ago, she left a Saturday's luncheon with out of town friends to attend to an eye problem I suddenly had, I was at the ER in Mt. Pleasant, I will never forget her kindness and the length of time she spent with me. RIP forever Dr. B.

We met Dr. Bluestein many years ago at St. Francis Hospital. My sister had some eye issues and one of the doctors said "That" is who we need! She was an amazing, caring, professional, friend and our family eye doctor for many years. Elaine and Mike Gooch
