Rossi Funeral Home - Scotch Plains Obituary

Eugene G. Boehm, 69, of South Plainfield, died on Friday, January 15, 2016. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Evangel Church, Scotch Plains, NJ at 10am. Relatives and friends will be given an opportunity to offer their thoughts and memories during the service. The Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.

Eugene was born in Summit, grew up in Springfield, lived in Plainfield, and settled to South Plainfield in 1979. Eugene is a graduate from Jonathan Dayton H.S. class of 1964. He worked at Belco., Dupont in Parsippany, NJ as a Logistics Manager for over 24yrs. Eugene was a member of the Independent Hi-Railers. He was an avid model train and garden railroad collector. He was a very hard worker and had a strong work ethic. Eugene enjoyed having a cold Yuengling. He was patriotic, and believed strongly in God and Country. To show his support for his country he served in the Civil Air Patrol. Eugene was also recognized by the USDOT and the USCG for his efforts in assisting in the clean-up after 9-11. But, nothing more in this world made him smile then his grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his daughter Genevieve Boehm Clifton and her husband Larry; his two grandchildren Zachary Donato and Magnolia Louise Ann; his sister Dorothy Ann Capone and husband Tony; and his two nieces Rosanne Capone and Virginia Knight.

Gene was a man o. Integrity. Rip

My condolences to Genes' family. I lived around the corner from him and was a fellow model railroader. Gene always had a great outlook on life and was a very nice person to be around.
