Not sure what to say?

God bless You mr.Borza, because You also are a great Romanian.

Kathleen, I was so sorry to hear about Gene. I have fond memories of you and Gene at Penn State. He was such a genial, witty conversationalist. My deepest sympathy to you and the family.

Gene Borza was my mentor at Penn State. It was through his support and belief in me that I began graduate work at the University of Chicago, and went on to become an ancient historian and archaeologist. He was a wonderful mentor and friend, and an outstanding scholar. I will miss him

One of the finest teachers I've ever had. His perceptions of the ancient world, and how they apply to the life we live today, will never leave me. I only wish I'd been able to take more courses with him. Rest in peace, treasured teacher. You served us all well. Angela Bell (69, English)

We have not only lost a great scholar but a great guy. Gene enlightened any conversation he engaged in no matter the topic. I will never forget is insight on maps, which is too long to repeat here and which I am sorry he never turned into an article. It was enlightening. My condolences to Kathleen. He was a good partner.

My memories are such simple ones. I will always always remember all the Thursday nights that we worked out and Gene would greet me at the front door and he would come down, like clockwork, while we were working out to pick out the bottle of wine to have with dinner. I also will remember his love for trains and his train sets at the Chantilly house. Jeff and I extend our sincerest sympathies to you Kathleen, Karen and Michael. I am honored to have known Gene.

Kathleen. You know how special Gene was to me and the wonderful moments we all shared. He will be deeply grieved and always remembered. Love and care, Sheri

Kathleen, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
