Fond memories of fun, laughter, and joy at the Braun house on Devon in Parchment where we talked football, baseball, told jokes and stories while playing euchre and Judy serving Eugene his late evening meal. Glad that I spoke with Eugene by phone while he was at his Portage apartment. Prayers and sympathies extended to Mark, Lesley, Julie and entire family.

I too knew Eugene as a good man. Whether way back when he worked at Sears or frequently invited for Grandma's homemade pizza at my Grandparents (The Mauer's). It was always a pleasure having a conversation with Eugene. He was a very good friend to the Mauer family. While not officially family, Eugene and family will always be family in my heart.
