Not sure what to say?

We think about Gene and Joyce so often. Wonderful memories especially with Shippensburg U. and St. Patrick´s Day parties. They are greatly missed.

We were just thinking about Gene and Joyce. Our favorite memories with them are of their St. Patrick Day parties and our trips with Shippensburg Foundation.

Mr burger had the patience to put up with a bunch of rowdy 7th graders til we finally understood algebra.

I had the honor to be the captain of the 1969 STJHS basketball team. I speak for all of us on that team. Mr.Burger taught us discipline while still respecting us.He got the best out of our skills. We certainly wouldn't have been on any ESPN highlight reels. He didn't let us stray too far away.
To Mr.Burger's family his spirit lives on.

Dear Jim and Jon and Families,
I have had the pleasure of knowing your parents for over 40 years, my husband for over 20 years. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this most difficult time. The services for both your mother and father were so moving. What wonderful people!! They are and will be missed.
Sincerely, Carol and Bill Schleig

Mr. Burger was my math teacher in junior high school. He was a great person and will be missed. RIP Mr. Burger until we see you again.

Jim znd John, I grew up on Progress Ave. Your Dad was an inspiration to us all. He was a favorite teacher of mine and taught me so very much. He was a good man! I would stop and talk to him from time to time at the house when I would be home on leave from the military. You were so lucky to have such a great Dad.

Mr. Burger was my favorite teacher in junior high school. I'm glad I ran into him several times in the past few years.

Mr. Burger was one of the most memorable teachers I had while going through ST school system period, I saw him wrestle a student in the hall way between classes, the student had a chance, for a second than next thing you know, BOOM! The student was on his back. They got up, shook hands and hugged, everyone in the hall just broke out in cheer and applause, that day, if I hadn't already, I learned to respect teachers as people. Thank you Mr. Burger, you taught this one something.
