Not sure what to say?

Gene was a life member of VFW Post 827 in Kalamazoo. I was honored to hold a ceremony called, "draping charter" and read his name out loud to everyone present. This is custom when a post member passes away we honor them by draping the post charter for 30 days in remembrance of them and their sacrifice to our Country. He was a true hero, I wish I could have known him. God speed! Family is welcomed to come in and see it if you wish. 562 Portage St, Kalamazoo Respectfully, Post...

Condolences to the family. I worked for Gene at Indusco in the mid 80´s. Always found Gene to be fun, fair and great to be around. He ran a great company!

I got to know Gene when I was employed at, the then, Elks Country Club. He was a person with a great spirit and sense of humor. May Gene rest in peace.

Gene was a wonderful man. It was an honor to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Helen and Todd.

My Uncle Gene was best friend and husband to my Aunt Helen for 74 years. I know that to be pretty special!

Gene was was my favorite uncle, married to my favorite aunt. She was my mother´s sister and best friend. Needless to say, they were both a huge part of my life growing up. I love them both very much. Uncle Gene will be remembered fondly forever!

Gene epitomized class in every aspect of his life. His mere presence commanded attention whenever he entered a room. Throughout the 1950s and beyond, he mentored numerous individuals, including notable Kalamazoo bowlers like George Howard and Victor Iwlew. Gene's warm smile and words of encouragement attracted many to him, leaving an indelible impact on our community. His contributions were vast and invaluable; his absence will be deeply felt.

The very first time I met Gene, he told me he was "double-nickels"!! lol. Gene was a very kind, and sweet man. I never saw him angry once and he was always good to me. I will miss him.

Gene was my grandfather & I will always remember him as calm-natured and quick-witted. He could always make us laugh with his jokes and keep us interested with his stories. He was a genuinely good & kind man. He is loved and missed greatly.
