My condolences to the family who I have the fondest memories of. Gene taught my brothers and I a good deal during the summer jobs hauling hay and looking after the cattle. He also gave me lifts to Augusta in my 1st year at Aquinas High while he was teaching at Langford. He shared many humerous anecdotes and stories on those journeys and was always a most generous and positive neighbor and mentor in my youth. Rest in Peace dear friend.
