Not sure what to say?

We will miss you Brother Gene Cook you were a faith believing Godly example to us. You always said we are praying for your family and the Spanish service to. Always calling out names to pray for them and had a heart after God. We need more examples like you.

Gene always had a smile and an outstretched hand, he will be sorely missed by those who knew him. My prayers for peace and comfort are offered up for all of you, as I’m remembering how often Gene would say to me, I’m praying for you after my mother and father passed away.

Gene was a wonderful person. I met him in the early eighties when me and his late mother-in- law, Elsie Raymes worked at Kmart on Owen Drive here in Fayetteville NC. Gene would always invite me to his church. To his wife, Gail and family stay strong.

A unique personality with nothing fake whatsoever. Gene possessed the true and unfailing spirit of a Christian that can only come from God. a devoted husband and father, he led his family in the way pleasing to the Lord and instilled within their hearts strong moral and Christ like principals. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gene's family during this very difficult time. We will miss hearing Gene's prayers in the prayer room, calling out names of his family and friends including their children's names.

Gene also known as Poppy to his grandsons was the best example of a Christian my boys could of witnessed. He taught Oliver the importance of sharing the word of God and inviting people to church. He played with his grandsons until he was exhausted but never complained. I’m going to miss you Poppy. I can’t wait until we get to see you again in Heaven.

He was a good man of God. Always telling you about the goodness of God. He will surely be missed.my prayers for Gail and the family.

I am so sorry.

He was a wonderful Christian, loving husband and amazing dad. He loved all people regardless of race or anything else. He will be missed so much by his family. I love you dad. Thank you for everything.
