Not sure what to say?

Dear LaVerne and Cricket,
You probably don't remember me, but I was a friend of Cricket's at the Tri Delta House at Butler where I met you in 1965. I remember you and Gene from meeting you in Indianapolis, and then you warmly opened your home to me for a visit and showed me all the sights of DC. I've never forgotten that trip or your hospitality. You have a wonderful family, and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Love,
Sarah

Dear LaVerne and family;

Dear LaVerne & girls, I was so very sorry to hear of Gene's passing and I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. Gene was a larger than life guy, and he will always live in my heart along with his smile and his hilarious manner. Wish I could be there with you all, but please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. Much love, Karen

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

To Gene's Family and Friends,
My several years of working with Gene were the best at the Phone company. He helped me to learn the right ways to do the job. My wife, Ellen and I both were close to him at work, and both of us enjoyed doing so.

Dear Cooper family- My heartfelt condolences to everyone. Stacey, I remember your dad as a wonderful guy who was always on the go- off to play tennis or working in the yard whenever I 'd visit during high school. He had a good sense of humor too. How lucky he was to have the love of five strong and beautiful women and a loving family by his side through out. My thoughts are with you all-
love,

Stacey and Family - I send you all my deepest condolences at this time. Gene was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Love--Sue

Dear LaVerne and girls, I am truly sorry for the passing of your husband and father. Gene was such a giggly and upbeat man, I will treaure the memories of being with him in Arizona, around the campfire at Phil and Glady's site, and at the Racquet Club. With Love and Prayers to you, Kathy Blue (daughter of Martha & Bobby)

Dear Cooper Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Gene was one of my favorite "Dad's". He was always so cheerful when I would stop by and never forgot to comment on the red dress I wore to some dance. I don't remember ever wearing a red dress, but he always did! I'll never forget Gene and LV reciting lines from Casablanca as the movie would end. What a pair!
I will be thinking of all of you on Thursday and will keep you in my heart for many days after, as I always do.
Much...
