Not sure what to say?

Just a joy to be around! He will be missed!!

We were so saddened to learn of Gene´s passing. He, Lucy & Lori were such good neighbors and friends to my Mom & Dad. Gene really looked out for my Mom after my father passed, my brother John & I are so grateful! Once Mom moved to Las Vegas to live with me, Gene would ring our phone every now and then to keep in touch. On my many visits home, we´d hang out on Gene´s patio with an adult beverage and fun conversations. Wishing his family comfort through this difficult time.

As a kid, Gene was always one of my Mom and Dad's friends that I enjoyed being around most. Two of my favorite vacations were when we shared a cabin with Gene and Lucy and their kids, in Canada (1965), and Michigan (1968). He was always the first on up in the morning, and had breakfast started. That got us started calling him him "Nature Boy" Sorry for your loss, Lynda, Chris, Lori, and Lisa.

I send you sympathy for your family. I worked in a store that Gene solicited for Miami Cigar and enjoyed him so much. He was a kind happy man always. was. always liked to see him come.

My friend Shirley and I worked at Reed Drugs in West Carrollton in the 70's and 80's and every Tuesday morning Gene would come to take our candy and cigarettes order. He would stop first at the diner next door to us and bring us cokes and as soon as he came through the door he would start with his new set of jokes. He was the highlight of our week. He was a true gentleman and one of the nicest men I've ever met.

Gene's love and great character filled the room wherever he went. He always made me and my family feel welcome. He was kind and generous. I knew a very good man. He will be missed.

I will miss you so much, Papa!
