Not sure what to say?

We knew Gene when he worked at PJ Haley´s! One of the greatest friends I have ever known! So personable! I came across his obituary in a article in the Atlanta Journal a few months ago! We were just speaking a few months ago I wonder what ever happened to Gene! This was 76-77! Then we saw the article and thought wow he wanted us to know! A person I will always remember, love and respect. A Gentle Giant!

We lived across the street from Gene and Angie. He was quite the Man.

My condolences to Gene's family and many friends. I had the pleasure of getting to know Gene from my days in Sacramento. He helped me out when I needed it. Thanks Gene.

Met Gene in 1956 when he attended College of the Pacific. He was my idol,

I met Gene in Nashville in 2011 at a garden railway exhibit at Cheekwood. It was a thrill to meet someone who played for the Lions in their 1957 championship game and he could not have been nicer. He was even ice enough to mail me some signed photos of his playing days. I am so sorry to hear he is gone. I know his family and close friends will miss him greatly.

I new Gene from the Elks Lodge #6. I wish he was around to see what the Lions are doing to the NFL today. The Lions just might be going to the Super Bowl to beat the Chiefs.

Know Gene in the 60 What a fun guy

Gene was driving and East Germany when we saw something way up above the middle of the road so he slowed down a little bit and when we got there. It was two Russian soldiers with machine guns, and with a funny explain to us was that Gene was driving in the Audubon passing lane. That´s a no-no in Europe. we were in a bar in Berlin and Gene start talking to...
