Not sure what to say?

Dear Joyce and Family,

So sorry to learn of Gene's passing. On behalf of his "Y" Water Aerobics class we extend our sincere sympathy to you and your family. He certainly will be missed.

"Y" Senior Aerobics Water Class

Please accept my sincere condolences on Gene's passing. I am a retired CPD Police Officer (1967-2010) and knew Gene well. As a new officer in 1967, Gene mentored me as I “learned the ropes” of law enforcement. Gene, another officer named Bill Roat and I frequently took a morning coffee break at a 60 Second Shop on Vine Street as we each walked adjacent beats in the downtown area. Gene, being a more experienced officer than I, frequently advised me on the best manner to handle some of the...

Aunt Joyce, Rick, Jill, Barb and family: I was so sorry to learn about Uncle Gene. Jeff and I send our deepest sympathy. Like Lt. Hall's message below, I too remember Uncle Gene on the beat downtown when I worked in the Kroger Building. I loved running up to him and giving him a big hug and kiss (and probably embarassing him!) right in the middle of traffic! Uncle Gene was a sweetie, and I remember him being so kind to Mike as well. God bless all of you!

Love, Vicki & Jeff Davis

Joyce, Rick, Jill, Barb and Family: I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Sincere condolences, Cathy Noell

To the Gene Cullum Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Gene. I am a Ret. CPD Police Officer 1967-2007 and knew Gene for about eight years before he retired. My Dad, Virgil Hall started with the CPD in 1950 and I am sure he and Gene knew each other.

I remember Gene proudly Walking His Beat and he was very kind to us youngsters. He taught us "how to stay alive", how to treat people fair and equally.

As gentle as Gene was, the criminals...

Barb- I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Rick, I am very sorry for your loss. My very best to your family during these difficult time.

Dear Rick and family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you, upon hearing of your Dad's passing. Although my Dad went home to be with the Lord in 1988 and Mom in 1998 .. and my big brother in 2002, .. there are times when I miss them so much, my heart begins to ache. I miss their faces, their smell, their hugs, their words and laughter.
But I am comforted to know that when the time comes, we will all be reunited and what a joyful and happy day that will be! Your Dad has gone home and...
