Sharon, so sorry to hear about Gene´s passing. Always enjoyed visiting when y´all were in Shreveport or at boat races....lot of good memories from those days...my sincere condolences to all friends and family.

I run around with Gene at Byrd. The last time I saw him was at a Byrd Reunion quite sometime ago. He was living in Houston. He told us about his racing and his shop. We had same kind of cars 1954 Chevrolet. Only 2 weeks ago, Dan Naramore and I talked about Gene and wondered if he was still in Houston. We were planning to trace him down. RIP Gene We have some great memories.
