Not sure what to say?

You will be missed. Such a wonderful person.

Gene was a patient of mine at Kaiser for 15 years. It was an honor and a true pleasure to be his doctor. I will always remember his sense of humor and his warm and welcoming laugh. My condolences to all his family.

After meeting Gene through Wade D. at Centerline Concepts, and while surveying some of his projects, Gene befriended me (too!). I feel lucky to have been his friend and colleague, and I heartily agree to all the praise in Gene's obit. A long, beautiful life for a good human being.

I´m deeply saddened to hear of Gene´s passing. I knew him for most of my adult life and admired him greatly. Always cheerful, willing to share great stories and extremely supportive of our profession, his passion for knowledge and desire to share his views of our great profession made him a standard bearer we could all look up to. I was a lucky kid to have known Mr. DiLoreto. I grew up with his son, Dale, and spent time at the DiLoreto house, often playing ping pong with him. Mr. DiLoreto was such an upbeat person, kind, yet firm. He and his wife raised five brilliant men.

Sorry to hear that Gene has passed. I first met him in the 1980´s. Easy going, knowledgeable surveyor. Spoke with him many times at PLSO meetings and conferences. Always a gentleman.

Yes, I remember the day It was on the mourn That I saw a ship a sailing Sea was calm Winds were fair Flag it snapped Home port was nigh Gene still young And he was at the rail With shipmates once again.---rs

Gene wasn't born into our family but he certainly made it more fun to be at Bauman family gatherings. Never to be one at a loss for words, Gene kept gatherings upbeat and fun. He will be missed.
