Dollins Family , You were truly BLESSED to have Gene in your life and so was I. We drove for Spector Freight out of Decatur and did we have a great time on that CB radio , he was a great story teller and one of the funnyist men around .Gene Dollins & Larry Shipman , what a pair, good guys! Raindancer, the next time i'll see ya will be with Jesus. Your ole friend king cobra.

To the Dollins Family....your father sure loved his children. That was so evident every time I ran into him at a soccer game or in the grocery store. His personality was larger than life and I know you will miss him dearly. God Bless all of you.

Uncle Gene....we'll miss ya buddy. You were definately one to bring laughter to any family function or just through a phone call. I know when a Yellow Freight truck passes through, I will always think of you and smile because I know you loved to drive those trucks. Thanks for being a fantastic Uncle!! I only wish we could have spent more time together. See you on the better side of enternal life. Tell Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Bill and Joe we said hi. God Bless
Love Doug, Penny,...

Joe Dollins and Family~

Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your dad, brother and friend. To say that his time with you was too short is an understatement. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since his parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully, it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked he was.
We hope that you and your family will find peace and comfort...

What a sad time to lose our most beloved "Uncle Gene". He was the uncle who was the life of the party, reunion, and family holidays. The greatest memories of Uncle Gene are how he loved to sing at all the family events and he always sounded just Elvis Presley. How he loved those songs from the "50s". He was the loudest and fastest talker and he loved telling stories from the "good ole days". He was the one brother who favored my dad (Bob Dollins) the most and when my son, Jonathan, was 4...

Sorry for your loss. Gene and I worked together at Spector Freight System in Decatur, Il. I will always remember some of the times we had together, weither working or fishing down at Shebyville.
