Not sure what to say?

Gene was good friend and great colleague for five years at Marquette. I still remember the canoe trip we shared on the upper Wisconsin. We had to go alone because both Mary Ann and my wife B.J. were too pregnant to go. Friday night we shared my Jewish Sabbath around the campfire, and Saturday night I went to Mass with him in a state park. AS we left the chapel, Gene remarked it was the first time he ever realized that there was anyone who did not literally believe every word of the Mass. ...

It is with great sadness that i learned of Dr. Gene's passing in the winter 2020 issue of MARQUETTE magazine. Dr. Gene and prof. Don Heinz were instrumental in helping me graduate from Marquette when I returned to school at the age of 25. Dr. Gene wanted me to enroll in his MBA program at UW-O , but I was transferrd out of the Fox Valley to Minneapolis with a promotion. I lost touch after that. He will be remembered in our prayers.

Dear Krista and Mary and family,
It is with great saddness we heard of your Dad's passing. A friend of ours told us in Church yesterday September 14th. We were in Kentucky at a Convention when this happened. Please know we extend our deepest sympathy and thoughts to both of you and your family. We will make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in your dad's name. Sorry we could not there at the time of his funeral
Fondly,
Ron and Ann Palm

It is with much sadness that we heard of the passing of Gene. The only consolation is that he has joined Mary Ann in the long journey they have had together. At St. Raphael's he often greeted us with a handshake as he returned from Holy Communion. I (John) was a colleague of Gene's at UW-Oshkosh for over 30 years. We will miss both Gene and Mary Ann, and we will include them in our prayers.

Condolences to Mary Girard and Krysta and all of
Gene's family . .. . Gene was a great friend for many years and a wonderful "fishing buddy" . . .we spent many hours on Lake Michigan in pursuit of "Mr. Salmon" which we encountered from time to time. . . .I know he is happiest now with his wonderful mate Mary Ann . . . .once again united in love and probably sailing the seas of heaven . . . RIP old friend. ..
