Eugene Elebash, Pensacola's Mayor Emeritus!

Remembering a 50's childhood, in Mr. Gene's East Hill home, with Jane, Gene III, Billy & Claudia. It may have been the best of Pensacola times. His warmth radiated through his family, and out into his community, and he was highly regarded by all.
Sincere Condolences from the Miklas Family.

To Honey and the Elebash family - my deepest condolences. It goes without saying that my life changed in your presence and I will certainly keep you in thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of working for Eugene at Christmas time wrapping gifts. I learned many things from him — how to clean silver and how to wrap using scotch tape sparingly! He was a great boss to have, a very kind gentleman to his patrons and to his staff. May his memory be eternal.

My deepest sympathy to the Elebash family. I spent many years in Pensacola and enjoyed a long friendship with Billy and Beverly.
Just know that my prayers are with the entire family at this time.

We are in South Florida visiting family for Thanksgiving but wish to express our deepest sympathy to the families. Pensacola will have a huge void with the passing of this outstanding citizen.

Eugene Elebash, Jr. was a Mayor's Mayor...and a gentleman's gentleman. He and a rare few others were the embodiment of everything that is good about Pensacola. Found memories of this good, decent and honorable man will live on and remain with us forever.

Our condolences and prayers are with his loving wife, Jane, and Gene, III, Billy, Claudia and their families.

When I was a young man growing up in the Downtown area of Pensacola. Mr Eugene as well as many others were very king to me. When I chose a young woman for my bride he gave me some advice. He said love your wife. His words have been with me for over 30 years now. And I thank God every day for my wife and good men like Mr. Eugene. May God Bless you thru this time.
