Over 40 years ago, Gene, Jimmy and Sally Kelly and my husband, Joe Joyce were the winners in a band competition. Thirty years later, when our daughter, Catherine, was born, Gene very generously gave me the trophy to save for Catherine. We didn't see Gene in the later years but I will remember Gene as a gentleman. Gene, I hope you were greeted by Joe and Jimmy and more to join the heavenly session.
