Gene was an amazing man. He will be missed by many. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed.

There will not be a moment that you will not be missed! Howard, I , Amanda, Bianca and Jake will all have a memory of listening to your stories. I remember the day when you showed up at our door, frozen to the bone. You and Doug had been hunting and a storm came through and your tent collapsed. I can almost hear the stories that are going on right now, between you and my dad (Jerry Meyers). I remember how you both would call each other OLD MAN. And it started there and it might not end for hours. You were always good for a great story of some kind. Your presence will be missed. But I know you and dad are laughing away about something. You were like a brother to him and he talked fondly of you. May your family be comforted by all their memories and conversations with you.
