I do not know any of you on a personal level, however, Gene and the Polka Spirits, played at my wedding 9/19/1981. The music world has lost another favorite.
He is truly a Polka spirit and the music will live on. God Bless.

Carole and family, Denece & I are so very sorry on Gene's passing. Just didn't read the paper in time. Just saw you two having breakfast 2 weeks ago,and we talked quite a bit.
Gene was a true friend and in playing with him he was a true people person and very well liked. Terrific musician.
