Not sure what to say?

Well, Gene, its been almost a year that you've been gone... This time last year, you were in the hospital and I spent almost the whole month of October at the hospital with you. Although it was tiresome traveling, sleeping on the bed/chair, walking the "green mile" to and from the car, I wouldn't change it for anything!! I miss you sooooo much and I am ELATED that we got to spend that time together, not knowing what the very near future would bring..
I am trying very hard to help take...

Although you are gone from us, my sweet little brother, you have left us one more beautiful piece of you....Henry Asher Hanes, YOUR beautiful son, born June 24, 2017. He's absolutely straight from Heaven above and is a most precious living memory of you..
I love you and miss you.....R.I.P. - Kemmie

My heart goes out to u Annie and your girls. And to Hanna and all of his family and friends. Although we had lost touch, our younger years and the fun we had will always stay with me. I pray u found your peace Gene! U are loved and will be missed!

I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Gene left behind... Whatever the Battle was, I hope he's found peace with God. I didn't "personally" know him as well as a couple of my other friends, Ralph Tucker and my husband Brian Gilreath But the things I did hear were always Funny, or just Great! Either way Gene was a Great guy who would give you the shirt off of his back or his last dollar out of his wallet. And I know he will Always be missed, and Never be...

I love you my lil Genie Weenie, sooo much and will miss you eternally!! Much love, your big sister, K
