Not sure what to say?

Gene was an amazing human being! Gene represented me in my youth when I made some poor choices. My mother and I met with Gene for the first time in his office, where he consulted with "legal eagle" regarding my case, lol. As it happened, Bastille Day was my first court appearance with Gene, he requested that the Judge dismiss the case on the grounds of it being Bastille Day, lol. Gene literally would not accept any payment from me over $1.00, I tried to compensate him but he refused, simply...

I knew Eugene as "Gopher"...and never really knew the meaning behind the nickname. We all had many laughs and fun times in Ann Arbor so many years ago! My friends and I still talk of him when we reminisce about the good old college days. He was so full of life, it is hard to believe he is gone. I know he will be missed by friends and family. My condolences to all.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Gene since before I can remember. With a personality larger than life itself and a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh, Gene you will truly be missed.

Gene was like a brother to me. We had great times together. In the office I was his colleague, outside of the office I was his pal "Two Dogs". (Peter Bilakos was a Saint for putting up with us.) Gene's love of life and those around him was always obvious. He was a very large part of my life and will be greatly missed!

A legend in his own time and took great joy in being Gene.
The Coonskin hat & Bastille Day!
You'll be missed old friend!

Gene always made an impact. He was a well known practicioner in Ann Arbor for a long time. He made a real contribution. He will be missed by many of us.

My special friend Eugene, So many thoughts...and too few words...Eugene will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him. Blessings to his family.

Gene had such an impact on my life, in a good way. He was impossible and irrepressible. God bless him, and his mother too.

Gene was a wondeful friend and a good person. His heart was always there and he was the only 6'6" guy I knew who was actually 5'8"! He will be missed by many who knew and loved him. We're lucky to have had some quality time with him. God Bless
