Not sure what to say?

Hi Coach, you are truly missed here on this side of earth but I know when you left this earthly world eleven years ago you went to a better place. I still picture you walking on Spring Road or either LaFrance Road just about every day. I only see Mr. Williams now out cleaning up the trash that people toss out as they’re riding. So, when I see him out and about I think about you walking and ringing wet from sweating and I would offer you a ride back to the High School. You would always smile...

To this day I still look for you on Spring Road. I would be approaching the stop sign and there you were power walking out in what seemed like 100 degree weather everyday around lunchtime. You had a wonderful personality and your super bass voice will never fade away. You were a phenomenal teacher and I think the kids now would appreciate school if they had a cool teacher like you. I know you are watching over your wife and daughter proudly. Take care up there Coach Howe.

Beth, I just heard today about Gene's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I'll be remembering you and your family in my prayers.

To Gene's Family,
I am Kirk Epstein's sister, Stacy, and I have fond memories of Gene and the entire family when we lived next door for many years. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Fondly,
Stacy Epstein Emoff

Dear Family of Gene,

I am Kirk Epstein. I was a neighbor of Gene's and the Howe Family for about six years. My best memory of Gene was how I was really deliberately annoying him one day; and even though he was at the time much bigger and stronger, he never beat me up or even struck me. After that, I grew to really respect him.

I recently saw the Tutwiler Family at a horse stable in Sterret and we recalled having the Howe Family as mutual friends. I recall Gene's mom...

Dear Beth,
So sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my prayers. You taught me about loving others and listening for needs through your relationship with Gene and Katherine. He was a good man. PMC co-worker.

Beth,
I was very sad to hear about Gene. I wanted you to know you have been in my thoughts and prayers over the last week.

I was saddened to read Coach's obituary today when I got online. He was one of my teachers at York Comprehensive High School in the early '80s, and he was one of my two favorite teachers in all of high school. He'd a great sense of humor and was a genuinely nice man. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

So sorry to hear about Coach Howe. Just hearing his name brought back a lot of memories from YCHS. Our prayers are with the family. We are so sorry for your loss.
