Gene and I reconnected in the last 20 years after many years of being out of touch. His intellect and capacity for learnging was only limited by the 24 hour day. A wonderful person and true friend. Larry Monserrate, WWHS '59

I went to Woodrow Wilson High School with Gene. He was a fine athlete and he had a great voice. I used to play music with him and harmonized with him on rhythm and blues songs/ I shall miss him and hid great humor.
