Eugene C. Karlik, 70, Monday, June 11, 2007 Gene’s earthly journey ended.

He was born in Mahanoy City, PA; February 18, 1937 to Martin and Julia (Demeter) Karlik.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and was proud to serve his country for 20 years, retiring in 1975; He was also retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 2002.

He is survived by his wife Fran, two step-daughters, one step granddaughter, and three step grandsons.

He has a daughter, two sons and three granddaughters from his marriage to Betty Jean Kirkpatrick who predeceased him in 1994. Several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Family and friends may call Friday June15, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30am at the First Parish United Church of Christ, 176 West High St. (Rt. 236) Somersworth, NH with Pastor Mark Rideout officiating.

Gene your love will always shine through my memories of you and Fran. Thank you for the hugs, joys and tears. My prayers will always be with you all. 'Teddy' likes to play cribbage, I hope you do to. I'm sorry that I was unable to be with your family during this precious time. Know that my heart aches for your loved ones. Holy Spirit of God, bring warmth upon Gene's family.
