I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Kermashek. I grew up with the Kermashek family in our neighborhood in Leavenworth and remember him always with that same smile, even when we visited Gene's Pharmacy - he was a kind man! Keeping all of you in my prayers.

I'm so sad to see this. Gene was my very first employer when I worked for him as a delivery boy and at the soda fountain at his pharmacy in Leavenworth. He was the perfect first employer for a high school kid. Gene was patient and kind and taught me the importance of a good work ethic. Gene was also my inspiration to become a pharmacist. He set the example I followed in trying to care for my patients on a personal level. Rest in peace Gene.
