Not sure what to say?

We still miss Father Kilbride so very much.

Father Kilbride was the best listener. His love and incorporation of poetry made his homilies something to look forward to for me while I was a parishioner. He had a wonderful sense of curiosity and fun. Rest in Peace. Mary

Eugene and I were classmates at St. Francis Xavier & Sacred Heart as well as Washington Hill neighbors. I hadn't seen Eugene in over 65 years, however, it was not out of sight out of mind situation but my memories of him are that he was an outstanding person and destined to be sucessful in the field he had chosen.

Loving and true, kind and compassionate, aware and thoughtful, fragile and vulnerable, filled with self-doubt and humility, never one to judge or admonishwhat more could one ask for in a priest? He was the genuine article and we all were blessed by his presence in our lives. God granted him a beautiful death in his sleep and there is much solace in knowing that Eugene Kilbride is now part of that eternal peace he sought and longed for.

I remember "Genie" as a seminary student who stayed with his mom when he was home from seminary. He would walk back and forth to St. Francis Church. If a group of our neighborhood "kids" was playing, he would always stop and chat. We all admired him. He was a great one.

Father Kilbride was the heart and soul of Saint Helena's. For over forty years, he showed through his loving and kind example how to be a follower of Jesus Christ. He never uttered a harsh word or judged his parishioners. He, instead, used his wit, warmth, and brilliance to help his parishioners through life's travails.

Father Kilbride was always the happiest when he gathered his littliest parishioners around him on the steps of Saint Helena's altar during their Christmas pageants and...

You touched all of our lives in a way that no none else could. Rest well, dear Father. Lawton family

Gene Kilbride was my Uncle. We will miss him forever. Everyone shared just beautiful touching stories of him. We will cherish these memories forever. Easter is all about re-birth. We will look for him in all good things from God.
