Not sure what to say?

He gave so much attention while teaching
the students. I count it a rare but wonderful opportunity I have the had to have known him and worked with him. There a lot of former students that have great jobs now because of Gene. THANKS GENE.

I still remember that phone call to his wife on a Monday morning to inquire how Gene was doing. He had passed away. His devotion to serving the students at Petaluma is still present in the students that are now successful adults. Able to have careers that are meaningful. THANK YOU GENE. You will always be remembered.

Dear Krautheim Family,

Michael and I were extremely saddened to learn of Gene's passing. We send our deepest condolences to each of you.

He was definitely one of a kind that will be sorely missed.

Steve, I'm very sorry to hear about your father. I met him years ago and he's just like you, a good man.

From the first time that I met Gene, I could tell right away that he was a class act. I know how much he meant to the Petaluma High School Building Technology program where he volunteered his time to teach our young students the value of learning a trade. Our condolences go out to Charlene, Steve and Mike from all of us at Wilmar Volunteer Fire Department.

The ones we love stay with us, for love itself lives on, and treasured memories do not fade because a loved one has passed and is gone. Gene was a fun loving guy and will be missed. Our prayers are with the family.

I have known Gene for some 5 years and I have seen him care about the young people at Petaluma High School. Gene shared his expertise in carpentry and just as importantly his expertise about life. He sincerely cared that the youth in his classes were successful in our society and in their lives. He touched many young lives and well be truly remembered by me and many high school students throughout our lives.
