My heart breaks for you, Janet, Jocelyn, Kate, Ken, and for the grand children. I am thinking of you and sending love and strength your way. May you find comfort where you least expect it --- in the sound of the wind, a piece of music, a piece of art, a friend's smile, a cousin's words.

There are so many facets to Gene. Adoring husband to Janet and a devoted son-in-law unlike any weve ever known. His contributions to the Somerset II House, serving on its Board of Governors for many years, were invaluable and will be long remembered. How fortuate we are to have known Gene. We shall miss him.

We were so saddened by the news of Gene's passing. We were always delighted when Janet, Gene, and Aunt Marion came to Montreal to visit and absorb the culture. We will remember Gene as an erudite, kind, and compassionate man who loved life, his family, and career. Janet, hold on tight to your memories, our thoughts are with you, we love you.

Gene Lambert was my lawyer when I headed the Animal Health Institute from 1968 to 1992. More importantly, he was and continued to be a wonderful friend. Fran and I send our heart felt sympathy to Janet, Kathryn, Ken and Jocelyn and Gene's grandchildren. Fred Holt
