Fred Bauer & Gene were members of the old guard.
There is no better example to the diversity of Ann Arbor's Unique Quality of Life than the primarily townies who gather daily at Washtenaw Dairy. Gene would sit at the table quietly, smoking one cigarette after another. Well Gene would say he "had a good run".......I knew Gene during our time at Michigan Bell, and he was a fine man.........always enjoyed our chats.
