Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe it's been seven years since Gene's passing. I can't tell you how many times he has passed my mind. Gene & I worked together for eight years in the architectural field doing work for the casinos. I had never met someone who could multitask as well as Gene. He was constantly putting out fires during a typical workday. Often, I still feel as though he watching over me as I am now in the position of doing exactly as he did. He loved this field just as I do. He's still missed!...

Just randomly googling names of old friends and found this sad news of my old Locust Street neighbor. Gene was such a warm, funny and creative guy. The world is a sadder place without him. Joan you were a big part of my happy Locust street memories as well.

Joan and Family: So sorry for your loss. Gene will always be remembered for his dynamic and fun-loving personality at all our McCarthy gatherings. Our many thoughts and prayers at this sad time to your entire family who he so loved! Thinking of you- Karen (McCarthy) Bloemer and family

I was very fortunate to see gene and Gerry at a class reunion. We were childhood friends, 'the catholic kids , (before st. Mary's school. Have very fond memories of the McCarthy family. so sorry for your loss. Jane hassler

Joan,
I just happened to google Gene's name tonight and discovered his passing. I worked alongside Gene for eight years and all I can say is that he was one of the greatest people I had ever met and had the good fortune to work with.
He was a "real" human being: decent, kind and caring. That's how I will always remember him.

I remember Gene as a fun-loving,whitty yet serious classmate. For those of us who could not draw, Gene amazed us with his artistic talent. Our prayers go out to all the family.

Very sorry for your loss.Gene and family were good friends during the St. Mary's school days. He was a good artist and a very caring person.

I am so very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. What a great person and classmate. His smile and wit will be missed. May God give his family peace at this time and joy in their memories of him.
